Refund & Cancellation Policy
This policy explains cancellation and refund handling for paid UptimeMonk subscriptions operated by HostMQ LLC.
Last updated: September 12, 2026Canceling a subscription
You may cancel a paid subscription at any time through available account billing controls or by emailing hello@hostmq.com from the address associated with your account.
Cancellation stops future renewals. Your paid access remains active through the end of the billing period already paid for unless we tell you otherwise. Deleting an account does not automatically resolve an unpaid balance.
Renewals
Paid subscriptions renew automatically for the billing interval selected at purchase until canceled. Monthly subscriptions renew monthly. Annual subscriptions renew annually and are charged for 12 months in advance.
Refund eligibility
Subscription charges are generally non-refundable, and we do not ordinarily provide prorated refunds or credits for unused time. We will provide refunds when required by applicable law.
We will also review requests involving duplicate or incorrect charges, or a material failure to provide purchased service that we could not reasonably correct. Submit the request within 30 days of the charge so we can investigate it.
Requesting a refund
Email hello@hostmq.com with the account email, charge date, plan, and reason for the request. Do not include a complete payment-card number.
We will review the request promptly and communicate the decision by email. If approved, we will submit the refund to the original payment method within 10 business days. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to post it.
Digital delivery
UptimeMonk is an online software service. Access is provisioned digitally after account and plan activation; there are no physical goods to return and no shipping charges.
Policy changes
Changes to this policy apply prospectively. The policy in effect when a charge was made will govern that charge unless applicable law requires otherwise.
